Expected deeper color intensity and opacity

The color intensity of the dyes is lighter than I thought the website images presented. This apparent lighter color intensity gives the chips a slightly faded appearance, again compared to the sample images on the website. The edge color intensity/depth varies allowing the effect as if the underlying lighter ceramic base shows through, especially on the edge to top corners. The black of the $100 chips seems to be the most affected with the inability to cover the underlying lighter base ceramic. The lighter green color intensity of the $25 chips decreases the contrast of the darker green edge marker with the main body. The red $5 have the same edge color intensity/depth effect. Blue $1's look better. With the underlying lighter ceramic showing through on the edges and the edge to top corners the chips have a worn look. This might be common in ceramic vs clay chips but the edges of the archetype sample set you sent have a more consistent and intense appearance. I do really like the chip design and feel but was expecting a deeper color intensity and apparent opacity.

FAQs

What's the difference between ceramic and clay chips?

Ceramic poker chips are highly durable and less prone to chipping compared to traditional clay chips. They are crafted through an injection molding process that allows for detailed, full-face graphics and a smoother texture. This manufacturing technique not only enhances their aesthetic appeal but also prevents them from absorbing oils from players' hands, maintaining their quality and appearance over extended use. Ideal for frequent gameplay, ceramic chips offer both visual appeal and lasting durability.

How do I choose the right number of chips for my poker game?

The ideal number of chips depends on the number of players and the type of game. As a general rule, we recommend at least 50 chips per player for casual games and up to 100 chips per player for tournaments.

Is there a minimum order quantity for poker chips or custom designs?

For non-custom chips, the minimum order is 20 chips. For custom designs, the minimum order is 300 chips.
